What is happening?

NORTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL 

SANDY LANE, GOSFORTH (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 

North Tyneside Council gives notice that it intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit all through traffic on the junction to the rear of Sacred Heart Church on Sandy Lane.

Alternate routes are available via A189, B1321, Green Lane, Dudley Lane.

The proposed temporary Order is required for general maintenance. The Order will come into force on 15 August 2025 lasting until 17 August 2025. Working hours will be from 20:00 until 06:00.
