Temporary Closure of
Moor Road, Greinton Road and Pit Hill Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Moor Road - from the junction with Spring Lane to the junction with Pit Hill Lane; Greinton Road - Moor Road, south-eastwards for a distance of 117 metres; and Pit Hill Lane - Moor Road, westwards for a distance of 113 metres. A total distance of 409 metres. This Order will enable National Grid to carry out poling works.
The Order becomes effective on 19th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 26th August 2025 and last until 29th August 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 4 days.
