Armstrong Road - Prohibition All Traffic For Works
What is happening?
CITY OF NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE
(ARMSTRONG ROAD) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 31 July 2025 the Council of the City of Newcastle upon Tyne made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic from proceeding on Armstrong Road, from its junction with Ranmere Road in an East direction for a distance of 51 metres.
2. The alternative route for traffic will be signed on site as required.
3. The order is required to allow works to be carried out on or near the highway.
4. Exemptions will be provided for vehicles and personnel engaged in the said works and police, fire brigade and ambulance vehicles and personnel on emergency call.
5. The Order will come into operation on 20 August 2025 and will continue, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed, up to 21 August 2025 or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
