Wolverhampton - Various Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along the following stretches of roads on the dates and times stipulated below:
It is anticipated that the below road closures will be in place from 08:00 on the 11 August 2025 until 18:00 on the 31 August 2025 (approximately):
* Bevan Avenue closed at its junction with Hateley Drive to o/s properties 14 - 16.
* Hateley Drive closed at its junction with Lawnswood Avenue to its junction with Kenilworth Crescent.
The vehicular diversion route is: Birmingham New Road, Laburnum Road, Wordsworth Avenue, Kenilworth Crescent, Moreton Avenue, Kenilworth Crescent, Lawnswood Avenue and vice versa.
* Birmingham New Road Service Road closed at its junction with Hateley Drive to s/o property 114.
The vehicular diversion route is: Birmingham New Road.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works by Cadent Gas.
