What is happening?

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(CANNOCK ROAD/ PARK LANE/LESLIE ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding along the following stretches of roads on the dates and times stipulated below:

It is anticipated that the below road closures will be in place between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only from the 11 August 2025 until the 15 August 2025:

*Ÿ Cannock Road closed in both directions at its junction with Park Lane/Leslie Road.
The vehicular diversion route is: Cannock Road, Stafford Street, Stafford Road, M54, Cannock Road and vice versa.
*Ÿ Park Lane closed in both directions at its junction with Park Lane/Leslie Road.
The vehicular diversion route is: Park Lane, Raynor road and vice versa. Or Park Lane Raynor Road, Cannock Road, M54, Stafford Road, Stafford Street and Cannock Road.
*Ÿ Leslie Road closed at its junction with Cannock Road.
The vehicular diversion route is: Cannock Road, Bushbury Road, Church Street, Wednesfield Way, Tudor Road and Powell Street. Or Cannock Road, Stafford Street,
Ring Road, Wednesfield Road, Wolverhampton Road, Tudor Street and Powell Street.

The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The Order is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
