The North York Moors National Park Authority intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the Parish of Glaisdale, North Yorkshire:
Public Footpath 98 Glaisdale: (A-C) No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Grid Reference NZ 7214 0340
(Point A – junction with the U2261 road to Fryup Gill, south of Wood End Farm) and proceeding in a generally southerly direction for 1km to Grid reference NZ 7177 0261 (Point C – junction with Public Bridleway 99 Glaisdale). A total distance of 1km.
Alternative Route – Public Bridleway 99 Glaisdale (B-C)
Pedestrians can proceed along this bridleway commencing at
Grid Reference NZ 4720 0355 (Point B – junction with the U2261 road to Fryup Gill, west of Wood End Farm) and proceeding in a generally south-westerly and then westerly direction for 1km to Grid Reference NZ 7177 0261 (Point C – junction with Public Footpath 98 Glaisdale). A total distance of 1km.
The Order is necessary to allow for tree felling works in Tyreman’s Plantation.
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
