Suffolk, Temporary Road Closures Due To Surface Dressing Works
What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A146
BECCLES ROAD, CARLTON COLVILLE AND LOWESTOFT
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads
? A146 Beccles Road, Carlton Colville from Anchor Way to Beccles Road, Lowestoft
? A146 Beccles Road, Lowestoft from Beccles Road, Carlton Colville to the junction with the A1117.
This is to facilitate surface dressing and associated works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1117, the A1145 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closures will operate from:
15/08/2025 - 21/08/2025 from 7pm - 5am and
17/09/2025 - 19/09/2025 from 7pm - 5am.
If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
