Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury & Stanford Drive, Rowley Regis - Temporary Closures
What is happening?
SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury) (Temporary Access Road Closures) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding one-way in a westerly direction along the access road to the ALDI store at the junction of Wolverhampton Road. Access to the ALDI store will be maintained but only when safety permits. Initial Road Closure – the work is expected to be completed by 21/08/2025 effective from 18/08/2025 (11pm - 5am each evening/morning). Second Road Closure – the work is expected to be completed by 22/09/2025 effective from 20/09/2025 (11pm - 5am each evening/morning). The maximum duration for the access road closure (off Wolverhampton Road) is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 22/09/2025 effective from 18/08/2025. Purpose – to facilitate access to install new telecommunications equipment by WHP Telecoms.
The Borough Council of Sandwell (Stanford Drive, Rowley Regis) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Stanford Drive, which will be closed from its junction with Hawes Lane for approximately 30 metres. Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A traffic diversion route will not be signed as Stanford Drive is not a through road. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 07/09/2025 effective from 18/08/2025 (8am - 6pm).
