Orchard Street, Arbroath - Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting

What is happening?

ANGUS COUNCIL

TRAFFIC ORDER

On 07 August 2025, Angus Council made The Angus Council (Orchard Street, Arbroath) (Temporary Prohibition of Driving and Waiting) Order 2025, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, so that public utility works may be undertaken. The effect of the Order is to prohibit the driving and waiting of vehicles in or on Orchard Street and Wellgate, Arbroath for a period of 15 days. Access for pedestrians and emergency vehicles will be maintained. The alternative route for westbound vehicular traffic is via West John Street, Catherine Street, Burnside Drive (A92), Guthrie Port (A933), Stobcross and Wellgate. The reverse route for eastbound vehicular traffic is via Robert Street, Spink Street, Lochlands Street, Keptie Street, Catherine Street and West John Street.
