What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C487 ALL SAINTS ROAD, CREETING ST MARY

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C487 All Saints Road, Creeting St Mary from 15 metres southwest from the junction with Clarks Close for 30 metres westbound to facilitate the installation and disconnection of underground electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A140, the A14 Kettle Lane, the B1078, Flordon Road, Jacks Green Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/08/2025 - 08/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5312 WETHERUP STREET, WETHERINGSETT CUM BROCKFORD

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U5312 Wetherup Street, Wetheringsett cum Brockford from 370 metres northeast of the junction with Park Green for 50 metres north eastbound to facilitate an excavation to install and disconnect underground electrical cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Park Green, Station Road, Hockey Hill, Church Street, Dale Hill, Violet Hill, Pitmans Corner, Blacksmiths Green, White Horse Corner, Mill Lane and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/08/2025 - 11/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4539 DANESCOURT AVENUE, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4539 Danescourt Avenue, Stowmarket from no. 17 The Maltings for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Danescourt Avenue, Finborough Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/08/2025 from 8am - 12pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C702 LOWER ROAD AND THE U8149 PRENTICE STREET, LAVENHAM

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

? the C702 Lower Road, Lavenham from 15 metres north of the junction with Prentice Street to 15 metres south of the junction with Prentice Street

? the U8149 Prentice Street, Lavenham from the junction with Lower Road for 30 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate the diversion of a gas main. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion routes will be:

  1. Preston Road, Lavenham Road, The Street, Hall Road, Preston St Mary, Whelp Street, Hall Road, Brent Eleigh, the A1141 and vice versa

  2. Lady Street, the A1141 and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate from 05/08/2025 - 19/08/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

    TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4937 BROOMHILL LANE, WOOLPIT

    Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U4937 Broomhill Lane, Woolpit from Windyridge for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion route will be Drinkstone Road, The Street and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/08/2025 from 8am - 12pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

    TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C324 PLAYFORD ROAD, CULPHO

    Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C324 Playford Road, Culpho from the pond at Culpho Hall for 150 metres eastbound to facilitate telecommunication pole testing works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion route will be Playford Road, Ipswich Road, Woodbridge Road, the B1079, the C324, Hall Farm Road, Boot Street, Playford Mount, Bealings Road and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate on 14/08/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

    TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4606 BROWN STREET, OLD NEWTON

    Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4606 Brown Street, Old Newton from the junction with Chapel Road to nos. 1 and 2 Fairfield to facilitate telecommunication wire transfer works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

    Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

    The diversion route will be Brown Street, Hundred Lane, Finningham Road, Church Road, Church Road, Chapel Road and vice versa.

    It is intended that the closure will operate on 14/08/2025 from 8am - 6pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
