Houghton Avenue, Temporary Road Closure Due To Electrical Works
What is happening?
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE - HOUGHTON AVENUE, HAVANT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Houghton Avenue between its junction with A3 (Westwards) and its junction with Houghton Avenue roundabout.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B2150, Hambledon Road, Darnel Road, Tamworth Road, Houghton Avenue.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Monday 4th August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 4 weeks and in operation 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Durkin and Sons to install electrical and fibre ducts. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: Streetworks@durkinandsons.co.uk
