NOTICE OF VARIATION ON-STREET PARKING CHARGES

The following revised parking charges, periods and arrangements were agreed by Rutland County Council District Council on 14th July 2025, which will come into effect from Monday 1st September 2025. A copy of this Variation Notice, the Delegated Decision and the Orders can be available for inspection at Rutland County Council District Council Customer Services, Catmose Street, Oakham. LE15 6HP.

This notice will vary the parking charges in Rutland County Council District Council (VARIOUS STREETS, OAKHAM) (PERMITS AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION AND AMENDMENT ORDER 2008 (as amended), and Rutland County Council District Council (VARIOUS STREETS, UPPINGHAM) (PERMITS AND PARKING RESTRICTIONS) CONSOLIDATION AND AMENDMENT ORDER 2008 (as amended).

  1.  Rutland County Council District Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) in exercise of its powers under Section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and regulation 25 of the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (England) Regulations 1996, and all other enabling powers, gives notice that the following revised charges will come into effect on Monday 1st September 2025.
  2. The reason for the variation is to ensure that the Council recovers the operating costs associated with providing, maintaining and enhancing its on-street parking services, in accordance with Section 46A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  3. The charges are set out below for each parking place affected by the changes together with the charges that are currently payable:-

ON STREET PARKING CHARGES

Administration Charges:

Suspension for domestic removals per 6 metres of parking place (or yellow line if safe), per day £45.00 £55.00
Suspension per 6 metres of parking place (or yellow line if safe), per day to include streetworks and development mitigations and unrestricted area reservations £45.00 £55.00
Suspension for approved events per 6 metres of parking place (or yellow line if safe), per day £22.50 £27.50
Suspension coach surcharge per 6 metres of parking place (or yellow line if safe), per day, in addition to suspension charges above  £20.00 £25.00
Dispensation per day (per vehicle) Not offered £15.00
Dispensation per week (per vehicle) £45.00 £55.00
