What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(TRUNK FURLONG, ASPLEY GUISE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Trunk Furlong, Aspley Guise outside number 37.
This temporary closure is required to enable replacement supply connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 14 August 2025.
The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Trunk Furlong.
The Order will come into operation on 12 August 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(HIGH STREET AND GREENFIELD ROAD, PULLOXHILL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of High Street and Greenfield Road, Pulloxhill at the junction with Barton Road to the junction with Greenfield Road, Pulloxhill including the junction of Greenfield Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and road marking works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 29 August 2025
between the hours of 8am and 6pm and on Saturdays between 8am and 1pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Greenfield Road, Flitton Road, Sand Road, Flitton Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 August 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(THE GROVE, HOUGHTON CONQUEST)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of The Grove, Houghton Conquest from the junction with Sybils Way to number 41.
This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and road marking works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 29 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm and Saturdays between 8am and 1pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Bedford Road, B530 and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 13 August 2025 for a period of

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Church Street and Hillfoot Road, Shillington from the junction with High Road to the side of number 18 in the junction of Hillfoot Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable surface dressing and road
marking works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 29 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm and Saturdays between 8am and 1pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

(STATION LANE, MILLBROOK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the
length of Station Lane, Millbrook 20 metres either side of the level crossing.
This temporary closure is required to enable a rerail inspection and pothole repairs to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 11pm on the 23 August 2025 to 11am on the 24 August 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Station Lane, Sandhill Close,
Houghton Lane, Millbrook Road, Ampthill Road, Woburn Road, Bedford Road, Woburn Road, Beancroft Road, Bedford Road, Station Road, Station Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 23 August 2025 for a period of one month or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the following lengths of roads:
i. Church End Road, Haynes from A6 to Great Lane
ii. Great Lane, Haynes at the junction with Church End Road
iii. Entire length of Park Palings Walk, Haynes
These temporary closures are required to enable carriageway repairs and ditch clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 August 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for the closure of Church End Road is via Northwood End Road, A600, A507, A6 and vice versa. There is no alternative route for the closure of Park Palings Walk.
The Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025 for a period of
eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Eversholt Road, Steppingley between Church Road and Rectory Road.
This temporary closure is required to enable carriageway repairs and iron works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 26 to 28 August 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Flitwick Road, Steppingley Road, A5120, Temple Way, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(BEDFORD ROAD, BROGBOROUGH)
(40MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
On 29th July 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the above named
Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Brogborough:-
1. Bedford Road, from a point approximately 228 metres northeast of the centre of the junction with Salford Road and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 131 metres.
2. Bedford Road, from a point approximately 23 metres northeast of the centre of the junction with Salford Road and extending in an northeasterly direction for approximately 205 metres.
Date of Operation: The Order will come into operation on 14th August 2025.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 29th July 2025, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
