Jack Walker Way, Temporary Road Closure Due To Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

JACK WALKER WAY, BLACKBURN (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Jack Walker Way for the following extent: From its junction with A666 Bolton Road to its junction with the Fernhurst Court Nursery Entrance Car Park.

The closure is necessary for the following reason: Resurfacing works.

The Order will come into force on 4th August 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 29th August 2025.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will be A666 Bolton Road, Jack Walker Way and vice versa.

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
