What is happening?

BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(City Rd, Radnage) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in City Rd for approx. 421M. Alternative route: City Rd, Bowers Ln, Bottom Rd, Chorley Rd, Oxford Rd, Wycombe Rd, Water End Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach underground cabling works commence on 13 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 13 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Germain St, Chesham) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Germain St for approx. 72M. Alternative route: King St, Amy Ln, Amersham Rd, Red Lion St, St Marys Way, Church St, Wey Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach access to carriageway box works commence on 18 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 18 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Bullbaiters Lane, Hyde Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Bullbaiters Lane for approx. 86M. The closure is required whilst UKPN new connection works commence on 29 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 29 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

(Chalk Ln, Hyde Heath) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025

which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Chalk Ln for approx. 266M. Alternative route: Brays Green Ln, Keepers Ln, Amersham Rd, Drift Rd, Chalk Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Cadent Gas mains replacement works commence on 26 August 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 26 August 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.

THE COUNCIL HAS MADE

(Public Footpath No. 103, Parish of Chesham) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025

under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of Lyndhurst Road & Chesham Footpath No. 103/1 and continues east for approx. 110M. to the junction with Chesham Footpaths No's. 103/1 & 103/2. The closure is required to carry out development works and is anticipated to be required from 28 July 2025, as signed, in the interest of public safety. Alternative route is via signage. The Order will come into operation on 28 July 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE

(Public Footpath No. 107/2, Parish of Chesham) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025

under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath commencing at the junction of CHS FP 124/1 & 107/2 and continues northwest for approx. 75M. Alternative route is to the side of the path. The closure is required to enable repairs to the surface and to Mill Leat Walls. The Order will come into operation on 8 August 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.

(Public Footpath No. 7, Parish of Chalfont St Peter) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025

made on 27 February, 2025, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which has with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport been continued in force and will so continue until 28 February, 2027. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, commencing at the junction of 7/2 & 7/3 and continues east to the junction of Footpath 7/5 and Shire Lane, whilst works to take place on the Newland Park Development. The alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be via a path to the side of existing Highway.
