CROSSLEY LANE, MIRFIELD) PUBLIC PATH
DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND
STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
On 31 July 2025 Kirklees Council confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.
The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert that part of public footpath Mirfield 14 having a width of 0.9 metres and shown on the order map by a bold continuous line commencing at point A at grid reference SE 2103 2123 and proceeding in a north easterly direction for approximately 130 metres to point B at grid reference SE 2113 2131 to a new line for public footpath Mirfield 14 with a width of 2 metres shown on the order map by a bold broken line commencing at point A at grid reference SE 2103 2123 and proceeding in a north north-westerly then north easterly direction for 176 metres to point C at grid reference SE 2111 2134.

Copies of the order and order map may also be inspected free of charge at Mirfield Library, Eastthorpe Lodge, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield WF14 8AN (during normal opening hours). Copies may also be made at standard photocopying rates.
The order came into force as from 31 July 2025, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 of the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 07 August 2025, make an application to the High court.
