What is happening?

THE MIDLOTHIAN COUNCIL

(VARIOUS ROADS)

(PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING ETC) (VARIATION NO 14) ORDER 2025  - TO/R5.3.146

Midlothian Council on 4 August 2025 made the above Order, which will come into force on 18 August 2025. The effect is to provide two ‘Disabled’ parking bays on Cuiken Terrace, Penicuik, close to Cuiken PS. Details of the Order may be examined until 15 September 2025 at Libraries, at www.tellmescotland.gov. uk or from david.chambers@midlothian.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act, or that a requirement of such Act or of any relevant regulation has not been complied with, may within six weeks from 4 August 2025 apply for this purpose to the Court of Session.

(POLTON STREET CONSTRUCTION SITE (OLD PRIMARY SCHOOL), BONNYRIGG)

(TEMPORARY PARKING SUSPENSION WITH WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025 TTRO/R 5.4.283

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Midlothian Council has made a temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, double yellow lines extending to a distance of 7.5 meters or thereby providing a parking suspension with waiting, loading and unloading restrictions will be in place at the locations listed in the below Schedule. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 14 August 2025. The suspension and restrictions are necessary to facilitate road safety by maintaining clear junctions during the ongoing construction work at the former primary school site.

Schedule:-

•  both kerblines at the junction between A6094 (Polton Street) and Polton Place

•  both kerblines at the junction between A6094 (Polton Street) and Union Park

•  both kerblines at the junction between Union Park and Moorfoot Place

•  all four kerblines on the crossroad junction between Moorfoot View and Moorfoot Place.
