What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025 
COMMON LANE, BROUGH (PART)

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Common Lane, Brough (part).

The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed installation of drainage/kerbing into a new feld access works, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26 September 2025.

The alternative route for traffc affected by the Order is via Blenheim Avenue, Ings Bridge Roundabout, Bluebird Way, Moor Road, Moor Road Roundabout, Myrtle Way, Welton Road Roundabout, Welton Road, Water Lane, Stanley Jackson Way and Common Lane. The road will be closed to all through traffc but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.

The Order will commence Monday 18 August 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
