Carlisle, Temporary Road Closure Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (C1012 LONGPARK, NEAR HOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the C1012 Longpark, near Houghton from its junction with the U1074, extending in a south westerly direction to its junction with the access leading to Green Acre Farm.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted sections of the C1012, A689, Greymoorhill Interchange, A7 Harker, Blackford, C1009, A6071 Smithfield and Skitby Road.

The Order will come into operation on 8 October 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 1 day between 0930 and 1530 hours, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
