Station Road, Temporary Road Closure Due To Gas Works

What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 STATION ROAD, MIDDLETON ST GEORGE

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

STATION ROAD

From the northern boundary of 10 Palm Tree Villas northwards to the southern boundary of 11 Palm Tree Villas

An alternative route will be signed via Sadberge Road, A67, Yarm Road and vice versa.

The Order is necessary to allow works to install a new gas main for the housing development. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 19th August 2025, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 4 days.
