Town Tree Lane - Temporary Road Closure To Pole Replacement

Temporary Closure of Town Tree Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Town Tree Lane - from the junction with Long Load Road, westwards for a total distance of 1013 metres.
This Order will enable Barr Engineering Services Limited to carry out pole replacement on behalf of Openreach.
The Order becomes effective on 7th August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 14th August 2025 and last until 15th August 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 18:00 for a total of 2 days.
There is no alternative route for this closure. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements.
