What is happening?

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 

The Secretary of State gives notice of an Order made under Section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping up of Highway (Yorkshire & Humber) (No.16) Order 2025” authorising the stopping up of an irregular shaped south eastern part width of Winterton Road at its junction with Home Street at Scunthorpe, in North Lincolnshire. 

This is to enable development as permitted by North Lincolnshire Council under reference PA/2024/115. 

Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, from the Secretary of State, National Transport Casework Team, Tyneside House, Skinnerburn Road, Newcastle Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE4 7AR or nationalcasework@ dft.gov.uk (quoting NATTRAN/Y&H/S247/6021). 

They may also be inspected during normal opening hours at North Lincolnshire Council, Church Square House, 30-40 High Street, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, DN15 6NL. 

Any person who wishes to challenge the validity of the decision to make the Order may apply to the High Court within 6 weeks from 7 August 2025.
