Roose Road, Temporary Traffic Restriction Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (REAR OF ROOSE ROAD, BARROW-IN- FURNESS) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the rear of Roose Road, from its junction with the A5087, extending in a southerly direction for approx. 30 metres.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the Cambridge Street, St Lukes Avenue and the unrestricted section Roose Road.

The Order will come into operation on 18th August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 2 weeks and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
