Temporary Closure of Lower Somerton and Huish Road
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Lower Somerton - from the junction with Ashen Cross to Lower Somerton, westwards for a distance of 118 metres; and Huish Road - from the junction with Huish Road to Acre Lane, eastwards for a distance of 251 metres. A total distance of 369 metres.
This Order will enable Openreach to lay ducting.
The Order becomes effective on 21st August 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 27th August 2025 and last until 29th August 2025 between the hours of 19:00 - 06:00 for a total of 2 nights.
