Pitway Hill - Temporary Road Closure To Tree Trimming Works

What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Pitway Hill

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Pitway Hill - from the junction with Water Street to the junction with Sewage Works Lane. A total distance of 331 metres.

This Order will enable Hi-line to carry out tree trimming works on behalf of National Grid Electricity Distribution.

The Order becomes effective on 21st August 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to commence on 26th August 2025 and last until 26th August 2025 between the hours of 09:30 - 15:30 for a total of 6 hours.
