What is happening?

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council proposes to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Chobham Road (C11) Knaphill Woking between its junction with Swallow Rise (D3784) and the access for The Priory Hospital; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Chobham Road (C11) Knaphill Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025” insofar as relates to the length of road in (a).
Alternative Route – Chobham Road, Barrs Lane, Littlewick Road, Anchor Hill, High Street and Chobham Road, or this route in reverse.This Order is required to enable Openreach to facilitate cabling works and all associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 04 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Winston Way (D3721) Old Woking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Winston Way (D3721) Old Woking as extends from its junction with (D3720) Selwood Road to its junction with (D3719) Rydens Way.
Alternative Route: Rydens Way, Coniston Road, and Selwood Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
