Elliot Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order Repairs To A Defect In The Highway
What is happening?
THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD
(ELLIOT ROAD, FELLING) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that on 6 August 2025 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Elliot Road from a point 30 metres north of its junction with Cross Row in a north easterly direction for a distance of 18 metres. The Order is required to facilitate repairs to a defect in the highway. The Order will come into force on 11 August 2025. The maximum duration of the Order will be 18 months; however, the works are expected to be completed by 15 August 2025. During the works all vehicles (except vehicles associated with the works and emergency service vehicles on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the above road until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs.
During the prohibition there will be a signed diversion in place.
