Romsey Avenue, Fareham - Temporary Road Closure due to electrical and gas connection works
What is happening?
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council has made an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: that part of Romsey Avenue between its junction with Beaulieu Avenue and continuing to a point 50 metres East on Romsey Avenue.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Beaulieu Avenue, Portchester Road (A27), Cornaway Lane, Cranleigh Road, Hatherley Crescent.
DURATION OF ORDER: from Saturday 23rd August 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than 10 days and this order will be in operation 24 hours a day).
The Temporary Road Closure has been granted by Hampshire County Council to facilitate works for Connect It Utility Services to complete electrical and gas connection works. If there are any queries or enquires regarding this Order please contact: nrswa@cius.co.uk.
