What is happening?

Three Gates Lane (D5528) Haslemere
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length Three Gates Lane (D5528) Haslemere as extends between the boundaries of the property known as “Tynings”.
Alternative Route – Three Gates Lane, A286 (Greyswood Road) and Highercombe Road, or this route in reverse.This Order is required to enable Thames Water to facilitate the installation of a boundary box and associated works. These works are anticipated to be carried out during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 2 September 2025 for 3 days, between the hours of 6.00am and 6.00pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation for 24-hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to properties within the closure as well as for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and dismounted equestrians will be maintained at all times.
Grange Road (D111) Tilford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Grange Road (D111) Tilford as extends from its junction with (X84010) Winchester Road to its junction with (D108) Tilford Common Road. Alternative Route: Grange Road, Priory Lane, (A287) Frensham Road, (A287) Farnham Road, Jumps Road, Tilford Road, and Grange Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Burnt Hill Road (D5300) Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the Burnt Hill Road (D5300) Farnham as extends from its junction with (X84052) Upper Bourne Lane to its junction with (X84079) Twyford Lane. Alternative Route: Burnt Hill Road, (B3384) Shortheath Road, (B3384) Ridgway Road, (A287) Frensham Road, and Burnt Hill Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate tree felling, silt clearance, vegetation clearance, and repairs to the bridge, and/or other associated works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 28 days, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for emergency service vehicles, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access is affected by this closure.
Green Cross Lane (D129) Churt
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Green Cross Lane (D129) Churt. Alternative Route: Hale House Lane, (A287) Crossways, (A287) Churt Road, and Green Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate new connection works for, or on behalf of SSEN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 September 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists.
Various Roads Farnham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025
On 1 August 2025, Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1), 14(5) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to – (1) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in lengths of roads specified in the Schedule One to this Notice; (2) authorise the use of the lengths of roads specified in Schedule Two to this Notice in the direction specified; (3) prohibit the use of the footway adjacent to (a) West Street (B3228) and The Borough (A287) as extends from the western boundary of the property known as “15 West Street” to its junction with Castle Street (A287); and (b) Downing Street (A287) between its junction with West Street (B3228) and its junction with Lower Church Lane; and (4) suspend “The Surrey County Council Lower Middle and Upper Church Lanes (D5335) Farnham One-Way Traffic (Number 2) Order 1985”, insofar as it relates to the alternative route.
Alternative Route – (a) A287 (Downing Street, Longbridge, Bridge Square and Firgrove Hill), Approach Road, B3001 (Station Hill), A31 (Farnham By-Pass), A325 (Farnborough Road and Hale Road), A3016 (Upper Hale Road), A287 (Folly Hill and Castle Street), or this route in reverse. For traffic on already on Downing Street, additionally take Upper Church Lane, Middle Church Lane and Lower Church Lane to return to Downing Street. (e) B3228 (West Street) to A31 (Farnham By-Pass), then follow as in (a) above. For the footway closures, pedestrians will use the footway on the opposite side of the road or temporary walkways.This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate Farnham Town Centre Improvement Scheme and all associated works. These works are anticipated to begin as soon possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 11 August 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time, under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Access to properties within the closure will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
