Westmorland and Furness - Temporary Road Closures due to Utility Works
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL
(FOXFIELD ROAD, BROUGHTON IN FURNESS, STOCKBRIDGE LANE, ULVERSTON AND U5142 BAYCLIFF)
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the:
(i) Foxfield Road, Broughton in Furness, from its junction with the A595, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 200m.
Alternative Route: via the A595, A593, C5009 and the unrestricted section of Foxfield Road.
Duration: From 7th August 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/15107)
(ii) Stockbridge Lane, Ulverston, from its junction with the U5578, extending in a south easterly direction for a distance of approx. 350m.
Alternative Route: via the A590, A5092, A595, C5016 and the B5281 King Street, Fountain Street, Hart Street and Swan Street.
Duration: From 11th August 2025 for approx. 1 day (Ref: TTROW/15081)
(iii) U5142 Baycliff, from its junction with the A5087, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 275m.
Alternative Route: via the A5087, C5032, C5033 and the unrestricted section of the U5142.
Duration: From 12th August 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/15106)

The Order will come into operation on 7th August 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
