Long Lane, Longford - Temporary Road Closure to Facilitate a New Water Connection
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
LONG LANE, LONGFORD
WHEN: 11 August to 14 August 2025
WHERE: Long Lane, Longford between South Park Lodge and jct. with Hoargate Lane.
REASON: To facilitate a new water connection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Hoargate Lane, Main Street, Hollington Lane, Derby Lane, Painters Lane, Shirley Common, Derby Road, Church Lane, Moor Lane, Long Lane, Leapley Lane, Wyaston Road, Main Road, Orchard Lane, Quilow Lane and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road.
The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
