Unnamed Road From Long Lane To Cropper Lane - Temporary Road Closure A New Water Connection

What is happening?

DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
UNNAMED ROAD FROM LONG LANE TO CROPPER LANE, THURVASTON

WHEN: 26 August to 28 August 2025.
WHERE: Unnamed Road, Thurvaston from Long Lane to Cropper Lane from its Jct. with Tithebarn Lane for an approx. distance of 545m north.
REASON: To facilitate a new water connection.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Unnamed Road from Long Lane to Cropper Lane, Long Lane, Main Street, Longford Lane, Cropper Lane and vice versa.

Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
