What is happening?

THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
QUAY ROAD, BRIDLINGTON

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Quay Road, Bridlington two metres either side of the
level crossing commencing 31 August 2025 at 22.05
hours to allow level crossing testing to be carried out
safely. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed by 1 September
2025 at 05.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Quay Road, Springfield Avenue,
Hilderthorpe Road, Station Road, Station Avenue,
Quay Road Roundabout and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles.
