What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ST ANNES ROAD WEST, LYTHAM ST ANNES, FYLDE BOROUGH) (REMOVAL AND INTRODUCTION OF PEDESTRIAN CROSSING)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above pedestrian crossing under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1) Remove a zebra crossing in South Promenade, Lytham St Annes, from a point 2.81 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of St Annes Road West for a distance of 38.4 metres in a south easterly direction.
2) Introduce a zebra crossing in the following locations:
a) North Promenade, Lytham St Annes, from a point 3.5 metres north west of its junction with the centreline of St Annes Road West for a distance of 27.5 metres in a north westerly direction;
b) South Promenade, Lytham St Annes, from a point 2 metres south east of its junction with the centreline of St Annes Road West for a distance of 27 metres in a south easterly direction.

A copy of the relevant notice and plan indicating the location of the crossing may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Fylde Borough Council, Town Hall, Lytham St Annes, FY8 1LW and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website
