Public Footpath No.76 part - Temporary Footpath Closure

TEMPORARY FOOTPATH CLOSURE
PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.76 (PART)
CHESTERFIELD

WHEN: 25 August to 18 October 2025.
WHERE: Close footpath No.76 from Old Road for approx. 50m.
REASON: To facilitate public safety during
underpinning of house.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: From Old Road travel east then south on St Thomas’ Street then west on Rhodesia Road to meet footpath No.76.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of footpath. The footpath will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
