Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 7 August 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WATLING STREET (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2227)
This order is to enable SMOP to rectify defects in the carriageways safely 18th August 2025 – 19th August 2025 (24 hours).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Watling Street, Bletchley – (its northbound carriageway) from its junction with Saxon Street to its junction with Centurion Roundabout.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Saxon Street and Bletcham Way.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WOLVERTON ROAD, HAVERSHAM) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2206)
This order is to enable BT to obtain manhole access with the carriageway safely 20th August 2025 and 21st August 2025 (09:30 – 15:30).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close:
Wolverton Road, Haversham – its entire length
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Stratford Road an Grafton Street.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 5 August 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MARLBOROUGH STREET, SKELDON GATE AND CHILDS WAY MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2214)
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to facilitate National Grid to carry out high voltage cable installation works for the MK General Hospital.
10th August 2025 – 10th February 2026
Marlborough Street (Southbound) – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Springfield Boulevard.
Whilst the above is in place all closure areas and diversion routes will be added to one.network.
Marlborough Street (Southbound) – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Portway.
Whilst the above is in place all closure areas and diversion routes will be added to one.network.
Childs Way (Eastbound and Westbound) – from its junction with Marlborough Street to its junction with South Enmore Roundabout
Skeldon Gate – From its junction with Portway to its junction with Silbury Boulevard
Whilst the above is in place all closure areas and diversion routes will be added to one.network.
Warning signs will be erected several days in advance to inform the public of the forthcoming closure.
Only one closure will be in place at one time.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GARROWMORE GROVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2226)
This order is to enable BT to carry out excavations for duct works safely 11th August 2025 – 14th August 2025 (24 hours of every day).
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close part of:
Garrowmore Grove, Bletchley – its entire length.
Whilst the above length of road is closed there will be no alternative route, however access will be maintained for residents.
