What is happening?

 THE EAST RIDING OF

YORKSHIRE COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC

PART OF LOWER BRIDGE STREET, GOOLE

Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of

which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Lower Bridge Street, Goole from a point 150 metres north of its junction with Bridge Street northbound for a distance of approximately 200 metres commencing

30 August 2025 at 08.00 until 31 August 2025 at 18.00 hours for the purpose of highway maintenance works.

The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with

ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the

works will be completed within two days.

The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: Lower Bridge Street, Coronation Street, Mariners Street, Boothferry Road, A614 Rawcliffe Road, Andersen Road, A161 Normandy Way, A161 Normandy Way Roundabout, Goole CP, Goole South Ward, Goole North Ward

The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic without exception but access will be maintained for pedestrians.
