Wiltshire, Multiple Roads, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Monks Lane (Part), Corsham; from its junction with B3353 for a distance of approximately 70m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out manhole cover repair works and other associated works. Alternative route via Monks Lane (unaffected length) – C157 – Rough Street – Lyppiatt Road – Dicketts Road – B3353 vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 04 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 1 day. For further information please contact Wessex Water on 0345 6003600.
B) B4528 (Part), Lacock; from its roundabout junction with A350 for a distance of approximately 300m in a northerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out construction of new ducting safely and associated works. Alternative route via B4528 (unaffected length) – A4 – A350 vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 August 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 for 1 night. C) C150 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with C163 for a distance of approximately 32m in a south easterly direction to enable JSM Group Services Limited to carry out trial hole works and other associated works. Alternative route via C150 (unaffected length) – C163 – B3353 – C157 – C150 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 09 August 2025 and the closure will be required for 3 days. For further information please contact JSM Group Services Limited on 01992 788019.
Orders A to C) will have a maximum duration of 18 months.
The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely.

THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, ST THOMAS AREA, TROWBRIDGE) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025
(Previously advertised as The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Trowbridge) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2023)
Notice is hereby given that on 23 July 2025 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit on
Albany Close, Albert Road, Bellefield Crescent, Cleveland Gardens, Coniston Road, Cranmore Close, Delamere Road, Fulford Road, Fulney Close, Grasmere, Keates Close, Lowmead, Middle Lane, Osborne Road, Ragleth Grove, Rodwell Park, Springfield Close, Springfield Park, St Thomas Road, Stancomb Avenue, The Mount, Victoria Gardens, Victoria Road and Windermere Road, Trowbridge – for the entire lengths.
A copy of the Order can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
The Order will come into operation on 4 August 2025.
