What is happening?

(Hall Lane, Shenfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Lane, Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Heards Lane for a disatnce of approximately 130m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 11th September 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411001WG7TCC0B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Hall Lane, Doddinghurst Road, Ongar Road, Shenfield Road, Middleton Hall Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 13th August 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) (No.17) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close the said lengths of road in the Borough of Brentwood as specified in the schedule.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above lengths of road for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only.
All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 13th August 2025 exact dates will be specified on One.Network.
The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Diversion 2: Crow Green Lane, Crow Green Road.
Diversion 3: Gloucester Road.
Diversion 4: Danes Road.
Rayleigh Road, Hutton - From its junction with Rubens Road to its junction with Rayleigh Close a distance of approximately 245m. - A129, A1023, A128, A127, A176, A129 and vice versa.
Woodland Avenue, Hutton - From its junction with Long Ridings Avenue to its junction with Pinewood Way a distance of approximately 750m. - Long Ridings Avenue, Alexander Lane, Rayleigh Road, Wash Road, Woodland Avenue and vice versa.
Priests Lane, Shenfield - From its junction with Middleton Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 65m in a south easterly direction. - Priests Lane, Shenfield Crescent, Riseway, Hogarth Avenue, Ingrave Road and vice versa.
Middleton Hall Lane, Shenfield - From its junction with Ingrave Road for a distance of approximately 150m in a north easterly direction. - Middleton Hall Road, Shenfield Road, Ingrave Road and vice versa.

High Street, Ingatestone - From its junction with Woodland Close to its junction with The Limes a distance of approximately 250m. - B1002, A414, A12, B1002 and vice versa.
(Ongar Road, Stondon Massey)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Stondon Massey in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 70m south east of its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 125m in a south easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 28th August 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410279895 – Affinity Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Ongar Road, Stondon Road, Brentwood Road, Kelvedon Hall Lane, Blackmore Road, Hook End Road, Hook End Lane, Tipps Cross Lane, Nine Ashes Road, Chivers Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Brentwood) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Streetworks No.2) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the Borough of Brentwood, as detailed in the Schedule.
The works are scheduled to commence after 30th July 2025, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on One.Network.
The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent Gas.
The Order came into effect on 30th July 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
