What is happening?

(BROADWAY, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable BT Openreach to replace a decayed telegraph pole.

Broadway, Gillingham – to be closed to all vehicular traffic from outside number 154 to outside number 168. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Broadway and Featherby Road in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Friday, 15 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Friday, 15 August 2025 and are programmed for completion by Monday, 18 August 2025. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(BEECHWOOD AVENUE, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and other associated highway works to be carried out -

Beechwood Avenue, Gillingham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with Watling Street and the junction with Osprey Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Watling Street, Darland Avenue, Osprey Avenue, in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 2 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 2 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(ANTHONYS WAY, ROCHESTER)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works to be carried out -

Anthonys Way – to be closed to all vehicular traffic along its full length in both directions. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes will be provided and signed as the works progress.

Commissioners Road – an available alternative route - width restriction to be temporarily removed for the duration of the works.

This Order will come into force on Wednesday, 20 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to take place over 3 nights between the hours of 7pm and 6am.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and other associated highway works to be carried out -

Ham Lane, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic from the junction with Lidsing Road/Capstone Road to Shawstead Road by council recycling centre (allowing access to recycling centre entrance). Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Capstone Road, North Dane Way, Shawstead Road, in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 2 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 2 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day (7am–7pm). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(GODDINGTON ROAD, STROOD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable an electrical connection to be made -

Goddington Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between Hillside Avenue and Frindsbury Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Frindsbury Road (A228), Mill Road, Hillside Avenue. This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 16 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 16 September 2025 and
are programmed for completion within 2 days. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(CHATHAM HILL, CHATHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable manhole replacement works in the carriageway to be carried out -

Chatham Hill, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 22 Chatham Hill. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Luton Road, Luton High Street, Capstone Road, Pear Tree Lane, Hempstead Road, A278, A2, Rainham Road, Chatham Hill, in both directions.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 4 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Thursday, 4 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 night (10.30pm–5am). The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable electricity supply works to be carried out -

Stoke Road, Allhallows - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction of Avery Way/Ratcliffe Highway and the junction of Allhallows Road/Marshland View. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Ratcliffe Highway, Cuckolds Green Road and New Hall Farm Lane.

This Order will come into force on Monday, 25 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 25 August 2025 and are programmed for completion within 6 weeks. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway patching works to be carried out -

Hoopers Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with John Street and the junction with Maidstone Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via John Street, King Street and Maidstone Road.

This Order will come into force on Tuesday, 2 September 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 2 September 2025 and are programmed for completion within 1 day. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

(HOATH WAY AND COURTENEY ROAD, GILLINGHAM)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable carriageway resurfacing and associated works to be carried out.

Hoath Way – to be closed to all vehicular Gillingham-bound traffic between the Junction 4 off-slip and the junction with Sharsted Way. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

Courteney Road – to be closed to all vehicular traffic in both directions between the Hoath Lane roundabout and the Tesco access point. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected.

Alternative routes will be available and signed as the works progress.

This Order will come into force on Thursday, 8 August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to take place overnight on Thursday, 8 August 2025 between 8pm and 6am. The Order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
