ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14
AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
PURLEY DOWNS ROAD, PURLEY OAKS ROAD, SUNDOWN AVENUE &
SANDERSTEAD HILL, SOUTH CROYDON – TEMPORARY RESTRICTION
OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement work by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic on the above roads.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place the roads/sections of road detailed below will be closed.

• Sundown Avenue – via Farm Fields and Sanderstead Hill,
• Sanderstead Hill Northbound – via Sanderstead Road, A235 Brighton Road, Purley Road, Godstone Road A23, Downs Court Road, Mitchley Avenue, and Rectory Park.
• Sanderstead Hill Southbound – via Addington Road, Selsdon Park Road, Gravel Hill, Coombe Lane, Coombe Road, South End, and Brighton Road.
• Purley Downs Road – via A235 Brighton Road, Purley Road, Godstone Road A23, Downs Court Road, Mitchley Avenue, and Rectory Park.
• Purley Oaks Road – via St Marys Road and Sanderstead Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said works,
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or traffic officer in uniform.

STOATS NEST ROAD, COULSDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they have made an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Stoats Nest Road, Coulsdon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Stoat’s Nest Road will be closed between its junctions with Brighton Road and Stoats Nest Village.
3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below.
Access will be maintained for Windermere Road residents.
• Coulsdon Road, Marlpit Lane, Farthing Way, Brighton Road, Purley Road (roundabout), Brighton Road, Hartley Down and Coulsdon Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 03 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 31 August 2025.
However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
6. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

ADDISCOMBE ROAD & CHERRY ORCHARD ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate tram network maintenance works on behalf of TfL, they intend to make an Order to the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Addiscombe Road and Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Cherry Orchard Road will be closed between its junctions with Billinton Hill and Addiscombe Road.
b) Addiscombe Road will be closed between its junctions with Cherry Orchard Road and Addiscombe Grove, and between its junctions with Billinton Hill and Colson Road.
3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below.
• Via Cherry Orchard Road, Lower Addiscombe Road, Shirley Road and Addiscombe Road.
• Via Addiscombe Road, Fairfield Road and Chepstow Road.
• Via Cedar Road and Blake Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 17 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking on the above roads.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the roads/sections of roads below will be closed and/or subject to parking suspensions/no waiting and loading restrictions at any time, as detailed.

Southbound traffic on Grange Road via Brantwood Road, Braemar Avenue and vice versa.
• Grange Road Closure – eastbound on Brantwood Road pre-diverted via Brantwood Road, Brighton Road, Allenby Avenue, Grange Road and vice versa.
Westbound on Brantwood Road via Brantwood Road, Brighton Road, Allenby Avenue, Grange Road, and vice versa.
Northbound traffic on Grange Road pre diverted via Allenby Avenue, Brighton Road and Brantwood Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 18 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on approximately 15 September 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking on the above roads.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, the roads/sections of roads below will be closed and/or subject to parking suspensions/no waiting and loading restrictions at any time, as detailed.

• Eastbound traffic – via Purley Oaks Road, Downsway, Purley Downs Road, Beech Avenue and vice versa.
• Westbound traffic – via Purley Oaks Road, Penwortham Road, Purley Downs Road, Beech Avenue and vice versa.
Edgar Road Closure
• Eastbound traffic – via Purley Oaks Road, St Marys Road, Sanderstead Road, Kendall Avenue, Edgar Road and vice versa.
• Westbound traffic – via Purley Oaks Road, Kendall Avenue, Edgar Road and vice versa.
Penwortham Road Closure
• Eastbound traffic – via Purley Oaks Road, Beech Avenue, Purley Downs Road, Penwortham Road and vice versa.
• Westbound traffic – via Purley Oaks Road, Norman Avenue, Purley Downs Road, Penwortham Road and vice versa.
4. The Order will come into operation on 14 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within approximately six weeks. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in conducting the said works.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
