ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984, SECTION 14
AS AMENDED AND THE ROAD TRAFFIC
(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991
BEDFORD PARK, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a crane operation, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Bedford Park, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Bedford Park will be closed to vehicular traffic outside Trafalgar House, No.1 Bedford Park.
b) The cycle lane on the north-west side of Bedford Park will be closed outside Trafalgar House, No.1 Bedford Park.
c) The north-western footway of Bedford Park will be closed to pedestrians outside Trafalgar House, No.1 Bedford Park.
d) Parking Bays in Bedford Park between its junctions with Wellesley Road and Tavistock Road will be suspended.
e) One-way working in Bedford Park will be suspended, and two-way traffic will apply between the north-eastern boundary of Trafalgar House, No. 1 Bedford Park, and its junction with Pelham Road.
3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted as detailed below. Pedestrians will be directed to the opposite footway. Cyclists will be required to dismount and use the opposite footway.
• Via Wellesley Road South, Park Lane, one-way system – Wellesley Road North, Newgate, St James’s Road, and Sydenham Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 02 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed within one day (a back-up date of 09 August 2025 will apply if the works are delayed). However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be implemented should further work be required.
5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle or person involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
6. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

CAREW ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to install a new gas connection by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Carew Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Carew Road will be closed between the common boundaries of Nos. 23 and 25 and Nos. 29 and 31 Carew Road.
3. During the closure traffic will be diverted via Brook Road and Melfort Road and reversed. Access to properties will be maintained.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 August 2024, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 08 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

FARNBOROUGH AVENUE, SOUTH CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate footway works, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict vehicular traffic in High Street, Croydon.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place:
a) Farnborough Avenue will be closed between its junctions with Heathfield Vale and Copse View.
b) Parking within the closure area will be restricted as necessary and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
3. During the closure, vehicular traffic will be diverted via Farnborough Avenue, Broadcoombe, and reversed. Residents’ access to parking within the closure area will be maintained.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 15 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

FOUNTAIN ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate gas main replacement works by SGN, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Fountain Road, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Fountain Road will be closed and all parking within the road will be suspended.
3. During the closure, access for residents will be maintained.
4. The Order will come into operation on 03 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 19 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

WOODSIDE GREEN, SOUTH NORWOOD
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate a district meter exchange by Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in the above roads.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place parking in the following roads/sections of road will be suspended and temporary waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time from 04 to 08 August 2025.

4. These restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in carrying out the said works.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate works to rebuild a manhole on behalf of Thames Water, they have made an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic in Norbury Avenue, Thornton Heath.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, Norbury Avenue will be closed outside No. 99 Norbury Avenue.
3. During the closure traffic will be diverted as detailed below.
• Via Norbury Avenue, County Road, Parchmore Road, and Sandfield Road,
• Via Norbury Avenue, Beulah Road, Parchmore Road, and County Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 04 August 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed on 23 August 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
6. The restriction will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
