Haslingfield Road/ Chapel Hill, Barrington - Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places Order
What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(Various Roads, Barrington) (Speed Limits) (Consolidation) Order 2025 and The District of South Cambridgeshire (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Order 2023 (Amendment No. 7) Order 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that on the 30th July 2025 Cambridgeshire County Council made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The effect of these is to extend the 30mph speed limit northwards in Haslingfield Road/ Chapel Hill, Barrington and to introduce a new 40mph buffer limit in Chapel Hill from the extended 30mph speed northwards; and to introduce no waiting at any time (double yellow lines) on the west side of Haslingfield Road, Barrington opposite the primary school and to install school keep clear markings on the east side immediately outside the school.

Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks from the 30th July 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
