(Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No 7) Order 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Derbyshire Dales District Council proposes to make the Derbyshire Dales District Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Amendment No 7) Order 2025 (“the Amendment No 7 Order”) under Section 35 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This notice is given in accordance with the Local Authorities Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996. The Amendment No 7 Order will amend the Off-Street Parking Places Order 2013.

The Amendment No 7 Order relates to the Market Place and Victoria Square Car Park, Ashbourne (map reference 6) and is anticipated to come into effect on 3rd October 2025.

The effect of the Amendment No 7 Order is to revise the maximum period for which vehicles may wait (Schedule 1, column 7) from 2 hours to 1 hour with no return within 24 hours in respect of those parking bays designated for disabled parking and motorcycles, and 30 minutes with no return within 24 hours in respect of all other parking bays.

A copy of the draft Amendment No 7 Order may be inspected at the Town Hall, Matlock during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays.

Any person wishing to object to the proposals or to make comments should forward objections or comments together with reasons, in writing to Neighbourhoods Manager, Derbyshire Dales District Council, Town Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3NN or by email to carparks@derbyshiredales.gov.uk before 27th August 2025.
