What is happening?

THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES KYNANCE MEWS

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.

ROAD CLOSED TO VEHICLES FOR UTILITY WORKS.

Kynance Mews, to be closed at the junction of Launceston Place to outside of 9 Kynance Mews.

To be closed from 08.00hrs on Wednesday 20th August 2025 until 18.00hrs on Thursday 21st August 2025, with a backup dates of Tuesday 26th August 2025 until Wednesday 27th August, or until the works are completed.

Diverted through traffic may use Kynance Mews, Gloucester Road, Cornwall Gardens, Launceston Place, in both directions, or Kynance Mews, Gloucester Road, Victoria Grove, Launceston Place.

Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.

Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
