What is happening?
THE ROYAL BOROUGH OF KENSINGTON AND CHELSEA
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES PELHAM STREET Footway Closure
The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea intends to make an Order under The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 Schedule 1 - Section 14 (1) (A) and all other enabling powers prohibiting vehicles from proceeding or waiting in roads cited below. Where necessary to maintain access for residents and occupiers one way or two-way traffic working may be imposed on affected roads.
THE FOOTWAY CLOSED FOR DEVELOPMET WORKS.
The Footway outside of number 40 Pelham Street is to be closed each Monday to Friday from 08.00hrs on Monday 18th August 2025 until 18.00hrs Wednesday 24th December 2025.
Pedestrians are to be diverted into a temporary segregated pedestrian walkway route in the carriageway which will be installed each Monday morning and removed each Friday afternoon
Access will be maintained for residents and occupiers.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform or a traffic warden.
Nothing in this Order shall apply to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes, or for the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency.
