Hollinwood Avenue - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic for Resurfacing Works

TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC144651576: The City of Manchester (Hollinwood Avenue, Charlestown Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Hollinwood Avenue. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Lightbowne Road, Thorp Road, Oldham Road, Broadway. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Resurfacing Works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 9th August 2025 to 14th September 2025 with the closure only in place during weekends works will continue through the week under lane closures. The order shall come into operation on 9th August 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
