Mile End Lane, Great Moor - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving Desilting Works
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(MILE END LANE, GREAT MOOR) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which introduced a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Mile End Lane, Great Moor from the junction of Edenhurst Road to the junction of Castle Farm Lane, whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said road. This Order is necessary to enable desilting works to take place. It is estimated these works will last 1 day. Works are expected to take place from 9.30am to 15.00pm. A diversion will be provided via Dialstone Lane, Nangreave Road, Buxton Road, and vice versa. This Notice does not apply to pedestrians. This Order will come into operation on 11 August 2025 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
