Winslow Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For A Sewer Connection Works
What is happening?
LONDON BOROUGH OF HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1)
(WINSLOW ROAD) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
1. The Council of the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham hereby gives notice that in order to facilitate a sewer connection in Fulham Palace Road works; it made an Order the effect of which will temporarily prohibit traffic in Winslow Road and Playfair Street.
2. Whilst works are in progress, or whilst the authorised traffic signs are displayed:
(a) no person or vehicle shall enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in Winslow Road, between No. 7 Winslow Road and its junction with Fulham Palace Road.
(b) no person or vehicle shall enter, stop, wait, load or proceed in Playfair Street from the junction with Winslow Road to its Northern most extremity.
3. An alternative route for traffic in article 2 shall be provided via Fulham Palace Road, Chancellors Road and Distillery Road.
4. Exemptions will be provided in the Order to permit reasonable access to premises, so far as it is practical without interference with the execution of the said work and for works vehicles, any vehicle being used in connection with police, fire or ambulance purposes and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
5. The Order will come into operation on the 14th August 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until works are completed, whichever is the sooner.
6. Works will be expected to commence on Thursday 14th August 2025 and lasts until 31st October 2025. The dates specified are for guidance and informative purposes only and works may extend outside these dates.
