Halifax Way, Barmby Moor - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF HALIFAX WAY, BARMBY MOOR
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Halifax Way, Barmby Moor encompassing property
Unit 1c Pocklington Industrial Estate commencing
1 September 2025 until 5 September 2025
for the purposes of excavating and repairing sewer
(external flooding, blocking line and pipe broke access)
works. The road closure is necessary to enable the
works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within five days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Halifax Way, Lincoln Road, Hodsow
Field Roundabout, Hodsow Lane, A1079 Hodsow Lane
Roundabout and A1079 York Road, Allerthorpe CP,
Barmby Moor CP, Pocklington Provincial Ward,
Wolds Weighton Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic
but access will be maintained for residents, businesses,
emergency vehicles and pedestrians.
